Underground Electric Post

May ipinapasa si PNoy na gawing underground na lang ang mga poste ng kuryente. Ito ay dahil sa biglaang malawakang brown-out noong bagyong Basyang. Dahil sa lakas ng hangin, maraming poste at puno ang nabuwag at naging dahilan upang mawalan ng supply ng kuryente ang kalakhang Metro Manila at mga karatig bayan. Sa ibang bansa, wala tayong makikitang mga poste at kawad ng kuryenteng nakalawit sa mga kalsada dahil nasa ilalim pala ito ng lupa. Sana ay maipasa ito dahil maraming benepisyo ang kalakip nito dahil kahit may bagyo hindi na tayo mag-aalala na maya maya ay mawawalan na ng kuryente at maiiwasan din ang panganib ng mga live wires.

If my friends were OR instruments, what are they?

I'm browsing my OR lecture this morning when an idea pop-out of my mind-- how can I memorize those instruments using my friends as a reminder? and alas, here are some:

ate ai - (malleable) because she can adjust and adapt to wherever place she goes
pats - (metzenbaum) because a metz is long, slender and sexy
joan - (bobcock) because whenever she makes jokes, I just can't get over it
eula/gen - (balfour retractor) because the two parts can be separated but it comes together to be a balfour
gles - (bandage scissor) always on-the-go
jigs - (needle holder) because of its large built
james - (metz curve) male counterpart of metzenbaum
gerson/cams - (army navy) you can't call it army and the other one navy because just like the balfour retractor, it always come together

We will miss you, Kim..

We lost a very sweet and charming sibling last night. ='(
You did make us proud. From a wild puppy (when you were given to us) to a very loving and obedient dog. Half of your life, you spend it with us and we're so grateful to have you. You're with us through the ups and downs since 2006 back when we're still in LPC. We will miss your acts, the wagging of your tail everytime we call your name, the funny-look you made, your bark, your jumping skills, the searchings, everything. We didn't expect your death, I thought you're just sleeping but when we call you, you didn't respond, you didn't stand, you didn't look, you didn't move. Until now we're puzzled. We don't know the cause. I really miss you Kim, I wasn't home for two weeks and now I have to accept the truth that I will not see a dog wagging its tail when its sees me going near her anymore. A dog who can give a high five and a shake hand.  I know you're now with God, you're now an angel dog. No other puppy can ever replace you here in our hearts. We love you so much Kim.

Heaven knows.. My bestfriend goes..

December 12, 2008, on my way home to Las Pinas I suddenly felt sad. I don't know why but it's like a premonition, parang may mawawala sakin.
God knows how much I miss him, I miss his laughter, his voice, his actions. I feel that I'm safe whenever I'm with him. He made a song and sang it to me the last time we saw each other summer of 2007. Here it is:

I wish he could sing this to me again but I know it's not gonna happen.
Few nights ago, I dreamt of him. I've been waiting for almost two years wishing him to appear in my dreams and finally he did and I am so happy. I was able to see him again after he passed away and I thank God for allowing him to appear in my dreams. I can't remember every detail but one thing I'm sure, siya yung nasa panaginip ko at nakangiti siya sa akin.

sharing God's love

Before I start discussing any other topics, I would like to tackle first a topic about my highest priority-- God.
Just wanna share a quote I got from a book, entitled What Matters Most. It was given by a good friend and it goes like this,
"The best way to share your Faith with others is by living a life of obedience and love.. thus You who have received so much love share it with others. Love others the way God has loved you, with tenderness."-- Mother Teresa
This qoute has a great impact to me. Since then, I always wanted to do good, not only because I have to, but because I want to. I thank God for giving me my life, I know it's not perfect, there's a lot of difficulties, a lot of challenges but keeping in mind that I just have to trust and believe in Him makes me stronger. I believe that above those trials is a loving God who only wants us to open our hearts and make life worthy.
